Our home over the last week

We’ve spent a week in McMurdo going through cargo, organizing our gear, and training to be safe scientists. But our bags are packed and we’re ready to go! If the skies are blue we’re off to Lake Hoare tomorrow.

Below are a few shots of Crary Lab, the heart and soul of science in McMurdo.
Crary lab was named after Albert P. Crary, a geophysicist and glaciologist who was the first person to set foot on both the North and South Poles.

The LTER laboratory.
